Whatever you may think about AI today, I can safely say it’s more of a Boon rather than a Bane. AI is still at its infancy, but already the opportunities it presents to users have been nothing short of incredible. Although there are many people who fear that AI will one day replace them at their workplaces, it’s important to note that the AI revolution has already started, and there’s nothing we can do to slow it down or stop it. Therefore, the sooner we learn to embrace AI, the better it would be for all of us. Having said that, like everything new in the technological space, embracing AI and understanding what it can and cannot do, is going to be essential for us humans to remain relevant in this world. AI is able to give us knowledge beyond our comprehension, but knowledge by itself is not power. It’s the application of knowledge that makes us powerful. And that’s where we come in. Learning and understanding how to use AI effectively is key to keeping us relevant in today’s disruptive world. So rather than fear AI, we should embrace it, and, more importantly, learn how to master it so that we can channel its immense power to good use. Do remember that achieving AI mastery is the surest way to ensuring our employability in the long haul as it would place us in a position of competitive advantage against our peers. Mastering AI is, however, not going to be a short learning curve. It requires continuous learning literally forever as the technology will evolve more and more over time. Of course, there is a serious need for the authorities to set the legal framework to prevent the use of AI for criminal activities. Happy learning.
